Spring Time!

Apr 16, 2018

Look at all this water outside! Dare I say that it may actually be New Hampshire’s rainy season, and possibly no more snow? The green trees and misty air that most New Englanders know as Spring, is finally here! All this water is great for all the natural life but it also can affect the amount of condensation in your basement.  This condensation will line the walls of your basement and can cause small puddles to appear, and in the instance where water clearly protrudes through significant cracks, damaging effects can follow. With the mixture of the melting snow and the excessive amount of water from the weather, we encourage you to look for small puddles that form around the edges of your foundation.  Also continue to check your basement walls constantly, especially if you haven’t had your basement waterproofing system serviced in a while, or you don’t have a waterproofing system installed.

If you are in the market for a new waterproofing system, we highly recommend our trusted sump pumps and services.  We insure our trusted sump pumps through an in-house lifetime warranty as long as the sump pump is serviced every year from Rescon Basement Solutions.  Each sump pump comes with a four year manufacturers warranty, yet in order to receive the Rescon lifetime warranty, the sump pump must be annually serviced from the date of installation.  See previous post for Battery Backup information and further Sump Pump details.

If you see water in your basement, either on the walls or in puddles on the floor, check and see if your Sump Pump is working. You can do this by checking the indicator lights and listening to check for power.  We are always here to answer any questions about the Sump Pumps, and if you don’t have a sump pump or are looking to replace your sump pump, give us a call and we can schedule a consultation and get a crew out to assess your basement.

The rainy spring season is the most popular time for clients to call for waterproofing assistance, for the obvious reason that many New England homes are prone to flooding during the wet season.  A new sump pump system with battery backups and full installation that is fully covered under warranty, is sure to protect your home and valuables from the high amounts of water this time of year.
