Floor & Wall Joints
The floor/wall joint is the juncture where the floor and wall meet. With heavy or prolonged rains, ground water along the foundation walls and underneath the basement floor can rise, allowing water to seep upward through this joint. This is commonly referred to as hydrostatic pressure.
Sealing the floor/wall joint is usually not recommended, as it will only allow the pressure to build and the seepage to move elsewhere. Instead, we recommend installing our patented "GrateDrain" Drainage System, which is an exclusive conduit, designed to be installed under the floor.
Our "GrateDrain" Sub-Floor Drainage System is the most common solution for this problem. The system relieves the upward pressure by collecting the water beneath the floor/wall and directing it to a sump pump.
This system comes with a Transferable Lifetime Warranty, which guarantees you will have a dry basement.
Our office will be happy to discuss with you the benefits of the "GrateDrain" system.
